Safa Roberts spent years slaving away at her corporate job back in Vancouver Island, Canada.
Her life was great on paper – but like so many others – Safa found herself depressed and miserable.
Wait π€¨
But… Doesn’t society tell us if we get a job, get married, have kids, and buy a house – that we will live happily ever after?
No more problems?!?
Hmm…
Well, it didn’t work for me … it didn’t work for Safa … and it doesn’t work for loads of people out there.
Some people are all about that life – and I say great! π
But… It’s just not for me.
Thankfully, there are other options π
Like booking a one way ticket to India to study yoga…
Then setting up a kick-ass yoga studio in Canada teaching pranic healing…
Followed by some life-changing ayahuasca dietas in Peru with a bunch of cool expats…
Life is what you make it.
But in her twenties, before she left her corporate job, Safa caught herself wondering…
“Is this all there is…?”
Instead of dwelling on it – Safa went looking for answers and started searching deep within.
And boy, did she find what she was looking for.
“My twenties were the hardest years of my life” Safa reflects.

At 33, Safa packed her bags, jumped on a plane and moved to India to train in traditional yoga (following that impulse!).
She spent her days devouring yoga lectures, and consuming tiny but *extremely satisfying* meals of plain rice and leafy greens.
Sounds delicious, right?! π
Safa remembers how hard it was to get her body to do the intricate, complex yoga postures.
One day… She broke down in tears π
She was the youngest one in training at this ashram…
It was also the first time the yoga school accepted a group of westerners…
So… let’s just say … It was intense.
Immersed in Indian life and culture, Safa learned to connect with herself in a totally new way.
A few years later, Safa moved to Peru to teach yoga at the Temple of the Way of Light.
She met her epic, fun-loving partner Felix, and the two of them have been running ayahuasca dietas in Peru since 2018.
Helping people face their demons and stay calm amidst the craziness of life.
Safa also has a thriving online business teaching energy work.
Ok…. But wait, how does money play into all of this?
In this episode Safa explains the heavy stigma around charging money for healing modalities – when people expect them to be free.
Even though, people don’t value free things.
We get so much more out of life when we invest in ourselves – in a tangible, financial way.
And … If these services are free or low cost, how will businesses be sustainable and continue to provide top-notch value?
You’ll just have to tune in to find out… π₯
