Louisa Seton

Louisa Seton negotiated situations with armed tribes in Africa.

Some of them were holding AK-47s.

Growing up in Nairobi, Kenya, Louisa saw a whole side to life that most of us don’t.

\And she fell in love with photographing indigenous and African cultures and tribes.

Especially the women — many of whom are forced to go through female circumcision (even though it’s illegal).

Imagine having zero pleasure during sex.

Being physically mutilated.

It’s horrific.

And yet – these African women are so strong.

Beautiful.

And courageous.

The title sucked me in and I am glad! I just found out about this podcast and I was very impressed! The interview style is very interesting (not your usual dry interview questions) and gives a lot of insight into the way the guest thinks and held my attention the entire time.
